Those who want to fool around Friday may want to open their Google Maps app.
According to The Verge, Google Maps updated its maps to include the game “Ms. Pac-Man.” All you have to do is open the app, click the pink button on the right side of the screen and bam, it’ll be there for you to play.
Google previously turned its app into the traditional “Pac-Man” game in 2015, The Verge reported.
This year’s version is a little different. You can’t turn your current coordinates into a spot in the game. Instead, the updated app puts you in a random spot somewhere in the world. It’s your job then to escape the ghosts chasing you, The Verge reported.
But Heather Alexandra, of gaming news website Kotaku, said her app allows her to play within New York City.
“I’m in New York. Everything is a grid here so it works really well. If you’re on winding backroads, it’ll be a bit harder. My recommendation for the best ‘Ms. Pac-Man’ experience is to zoom out far or head to a location with more roads,” she wrote.
Those who want to use Google Maps on a desktop or laptop can also play the game, The Verge reported.
Google usually waits until April 1 to roll out its prank. And since it’s already April Fools’ Day somewhere in the world, the game launched in middle of the day Mountain Time on Friday.
