9 deals for Amazon Prime Day you can't ignore


Amazon Prime Day kicks off Monday at 9 p.m. EDT, which means its time to get ready to shop.

Last year’s Prime Day brought Amazon its biggest sales day to date. Reports suggest Prime Day 2016 saw $500 million to $600 million in sales. Amazon never released final numbers.

But, according to NBC News, Amazon pulled in 60 percent higher sales numbers than the previous year.

Market Track, a market intelligence company, released a survey that found 58 percent of adults said they planned to shop on Prime Day, which is 34 percent higher than last year.

As Fortune reported, there are multiple ways to keep track of what’s on sale. Customers can view deals on the Amazon Shopping App, which offers a direct way to see discounts for items on your wishlist.

Those with Amazon Echo can also keep track using the Alexa service, too, Fortune reported.

People can also visit websites like CamelCamelCamel and SlickDeals to see when deals will pop up,.

Amazon Prime Day will run through 3 a.m. EDT Wednesday, according to Quartz, and will run through 3 a.m. on July 12.

There are more than 100,000 deals out there this year, Amazon said in a press release. Here are some of the best deals, as reported by other websites.

Amazon Echo — $89

As The Verge reported, Amazon announced that it would put its home speaker device on sale for $89, which is $90 less than the usual price.

Similarly, the Echo Dot will be on sale for $34, which is $15 less than the normal price.

Fire tablets ($89, $29.99)

Fire tablets are also on sale, according to Forbes. The Fire HD 8 Kids Edition will sell for $89, while the Fire 7 Tablet with Alexa goes for $29.99 (which is $20 less than the traditional price).

TVs (multiple deals)

Want a new TV? Amazon Prime Day may be a good day for that. There’s a 32-inch flat screen TCL TV for $99.99, and a 40-inch TCL TV for $199.99.

Deals for the kids (multiple deals)

According to an Amazon press release, customers can save 40 percent on items from Radio Flyer, Crayola and K’Nex.

Sports apparel (multiple deals)

Sports fans will also find some slick deals. Under Armour and Adidas training gear will be 30 percent off, while Callaway Golf products will see a 50 percent price decrease.

Trampolines are also on sale. Skywalker Trampolines’ Jump N’ Dunk Trampoline, which comes with a basketball hoop, will sell for $119.99, according to a press release.

Grocery store items

Amazon announced customers can save up to 50 percent on grocery items from Amazon.

Audiobook subscription

Books will also be on sale. Amazon will sell a discounted Audible membership for $8.95 per month for the first six months (a 40 percent discount).

Unlimited music for $0.99

Want some unlimited music? Customers can sign up for four months of unlimited Amazon music for just $0.99, according to CNBC.

A $10 credit

Customers can earn a $10 credit if they stream something on Amazon Prime for the first time, according to NBC News. This includes streaming on Amazon’s Fire TV, Fire TV sticks or other smart TV apps.
