So DD definitely wants to homeschool next year – yes! We had to do testing this year for state laws and we did the Stanford. Her science score was post high school. Over the 3 years we have done the magic school bus kits, nancy larson science and this year RSO biology 2 (2 because her 8th grade brother was doing it too). We loved the first 2 years, I didn’t love RSO, not really sure why, just didn’t love the layout. Anyway when I asked her what she wanted to do for science next year she said – "I just want my big questions answered like what is the Big Bang, where do people go when they die, you know just that kind of stuff." I am no slouch in the science world, but I am not sure where to start. We will definitely do the evolution unit study from BYL, we did the prehistory unit study from BYL and we did talk about the Big Bang some, but obviously not enough to meet her current needs. I don’t need a year long curriculum necessarily, but ideas as to where to get info like this. Her reading comprehension was at 11.5 grade so I guess high school level would be ok too.
