Parker Timken from Canton, Ohio has announced her intention to swim for NC State’s Wolfpack beginning in the fall of 2019. She will join Elle Giesler, Faith Hefner, Kay Foley, and Maddy Flickinger as part of the class of 2023.
“Super proud to announce my verbal commitment to North Carolina State University!! Thank you to all my friends and family who supported me and helped me along the way! I’m so grateful for everything!! #GoPack”
Timken won 2 Ohio High School Division 1 state titles as the anchor leg of North Canton Hoover’s 200 and 400 free relays, capturing a state record with a time of 1:32.35 in the 200 free relay (crushing the previous record of 1:33.87). She further contributed to North Canton Hoover’s fourth-place team finish with individual silver medals in the 50 free (23.06) and 100 free (49.96), both of which were PBs with huge time drops (-0.41 in the 50 and -1.60 in the 100).
