2021 MLB free agents by position


After an unusual but exciting 60-game season, the Hot Stove fires up once again, and there are several big names that will hit the free-agent market. Below, you’ll find a list of this year’s crop of notable free agents that will be updated throughout the offseason as signings become official.

Note: Players are grouped by position — using a player’s most-played position in 2020 — and ranked by FanGraphs’ Wins Above Replacement (WAR). Each player’s 2021 seasonal age and 2019-20 WAR total are included in parentheses next to his name. Players listed with N/A WAR didn’t make an MLB appearance in 2019-20.
