Cardi B took to her Instagram on November 2 to call on all her fans to get out and vote on Election Day — and to take one last shot at President Donald Trump. Well, actually we wouldn’t be surprised to hear more from her throughout the day and as results roll in, given her brilliant political commentary during the debates.
“Tomorrow is the day ! I’m not going to front I’m so nervous of the outcome but I know we can make a change. LETS GO! #BIGBIDEN,” she wrote in the caption of her video post.
“I’m tired of this bullsh*t. I’m tired of getting upset every single time I see this man talk. It’s like, are you fucking serious?” she said. “Your little one vote, your little one vote could change [things]. You could make a change, I could make a change. You don’t gotta be special, you don’t gotta be rich, you don’t gotta be famous, you don’t gotta be beautiful. You just gotta be you with your one vote…so let’s all go vote tomorrow, bitch.”
Cardi B also said she’d be getting up early (even though she hates that) to get in line to vote and encouraged her followers to stay in line even if the waits are long. “Make sure you bring snacks, your phone is fully charged, go with a friend to keep you entertained, joke around,” she said.
The rapper is not new to politics at all. She campaigned for Bernie Sanders during both of his primary runs in 2016 and 2020 and has made her support for Joe Biden clear since he won the Democratic Party’s nomination.
Given that Trump went after Lady Gaga during his rallies yesterday (after she campaigned with Biden), we wouldn’t be surprised if he had a tweet or a comment for Cardi too—and we cannot wait for her response if that happens.
