CHAI Cover Mariya Takeuchi’s “Plastic Love”: Listen

CHAI have released a new cover of Mariya Takeuchi’s 1984 track “Plastic Love.” It follows the Japanese quartet’s recent single “Donuts Mind If I Do,” their first release for new record label Sub Pop. (The 7″ release for that song, out today, features “Plastic Love” as a B-side.) Listen to CHAI’s take on Takeuchi’s city pop classic below.

CHAI’s sophomore album PUNK was released in 2019. Earlier in 2020, they shared music videos for the songs “NO MORE CAKE” and “Ready Cheeky Pretty.”
