‘Danger Force’ Cast Talks Holiday Superpowers

‘Tis the season for Santa, sidekicks, and superheroes!

Nickelodeon’s action-filled series “Danger Force” is getting in the holiday spirit with a two-part Christmas special: “Down Goes Santa” part one and part two! Not only will there be ho-ho-ho’s but there will also be some oh-no-no’s as a result of superpowers gone wrong. Santa’s sleigh comes crashing down, an ancient spell is broken, and the fate of Christmas lies in the hands of Danger Force!

Part one kicks off tomorrow night on December 12th at 8:00pm ET/PT, followed by the continued fight to save Christmas on December 19th at 8:00pm ET/PT.

We caught up with the cast — Dana Heath, Luca Luhan, Havan Flores, and Terrence Little Gardenhigh — to talk about their most memorable gifts, how they get in the holiday spirit, and which holiday-related superpower they wish they could have IRL! Keep scrolling to see what they had to say…

In part one, Chapa shoots down Santa Clause, Santa’s sleigh comes crashing down, an ancient spell is broken: things just aren’t going as planned. Have there been any funny moments on set where things don’t go as planned?

Havan: All the time! I mean, it’s not going to be perfect when you rehearse the first time. Even when you shoot, you’re going to constantly forget things, no matter how many times you rehearse it! I do remember us tripping a lot. We trip on air, and somehow just fall on our faces a lot!

Luca: I can think of five times since we’ve been back that I have just fallen, randomly…while filming! Things just happen, and I don’t know why!

Terrence: There’s just a whole blooper reel of Luca’s trips and slips!

Dana: There are definitely times where we improv and say things that were not in the script, because it felt right. Cooper Barnes, specifically, does that all the time…it’s hilarious…it happens almost daily!

As a result of Santa’s horrible fall, he loses his memory. Obviously there can’t be Christmas without Santa, and with no Santa, no presents! Can you use your memories to recall the most memorable present you’ve ever received?

Luca: The best present for me by far is getting my dog three years ago. Her name is Ewok, after the “Star Wars” character, because we thought she looked like one when we first got her.

Havan: My favorite was a bike I got with a big pocket in the basket. The point of the basket was so I could put my pet guinea pig in there because I would always take my guinea pig everywhere with me…she would love it!

Terrence: As a kid, I went to this event where you would take a picture with Santa and get a free present…so I went, sat on Santa’s lap, and asked for a present. I came home with the present…come Christmas time, I open the present…it’s a nasty, used baby toy! It’s sticky, there are hairs all in it, the batteries in it died…that’s probably the weirdest Christmas present I’ve ever received!

Dana: One of my favorite gifts was an Xbox 360…with games! Let me tell you, I look back on that now and I feel so spoiled!

Since these episodes were filmed in advance, you had to get into the holiday spirit a little earlier than the rest of us. How do you get yourselves into the holiday spirit?

Luca: I do all the normal holiday traditions. We get a tree, we make cookies, we decorate the house crazy! Some years when decorating our house, my brother, dad, and I will do the outside, and my mom will go crazy on the inside. During December, you can probably see our house from space! It takes time…it’s a process!

Havan: My mom loves to decorate for holidays, especially Christmas! In my dressing room here at the studio, she put up a little mini tree and a bunch of lights. She even has Christmas tree scented candle…it’s kind of nice!

Terrence: Opening my first present on Christmas Eve, hot cocoa, video games, board games, movies, and hanging with my best friend…my mom!

Dana: Hot cocoa and comfortable jammies!

Your characters have their own superpowers within the show, but if you, yourselves, could have any holiday-related superpower, what would that be?

Luca: Making it snow any time would be really cool! Or, instead of electricity coming out of Volt’s arm…snowballs!

Havan: Weather change! Make it snow, make it rain, you can even change the temperature outside!

Dana: Snow! Like an Elsa, but better! Nickelodeon Elsa! I would call myself “Winter.”

Terrence: Create snow! I would call myself “Mozone” because it’s like “Frozone,” but “Miles.”
