This weekend was a party. As news of Donald Trump’s projected loss to Joe Biden broke on Saturday, people in cities across the U.S. flooded the streets in celebration, banging pots, playing instruments, and spraying bottles of champagne. They danced into the evening, standing on cars and hanging off lamp posts. Cars honked and fireworks erupted across the night skies. After four years of Trump, a change has finally come.
A trio of photographers captured some of the celebrations for Teen Vogue. Andy Jackson saw caravans of happy families cruising through Manhattan and friends dancing in the fountain in Washington Square Park; Phylicia J.L. Munn hung out with crowds of Black Lives Matter demonstrators in downtown Los Angeles; and in Washington, D.C., Carolina Correa-Caro spent time with brass bands and champagne-popping partiers.
