Giannis Antetokounmpo Says There’s No Need For Panic After Fourth Straight Loss

The Milwaukee Bucks have struggled over the past two weeks, dropping their fourth straight game Tuesday night in a 124-113 loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Despite these recent struggles, Bucks’ star Giannis Antetokounmpo said there’s no reason to panic about the team moving forward following Tuesday night’s loss.

“I kind of have a feeling that everybody is in a panic mode, which should not be the case.”

“At the end of the day, we lost four in a row; we’re not going home,” Antetokounmpo said. “We’re still here. It’s not the playoffs. Obviously, it’s frustrating. We want to win, especially a game like this. A big game, guys playing hard.”

Antetokounmpo himself has still been playing at an MVP level, dropping a game-high 34 points on Tuesday night to go along with 10 rebounds, eight assists, and five steals. So far this season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.

The Bucks are currently sitting third in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 16-12. They’ll get the chance to correct course on Thursday night when the Bucks take on the Raptors, hopefully with the help of Jrue Holiday, who has been out since Feb. 6 due to the NBA’s COVID protocols.
