We got the chance to interview her, here are a few things she had to say.

How old are you?

I am 16 years old.

What is your process before/when you make a makeup video?

I normally have to get my set up ready (backdrop, mirror, iPhone to film, computer for music…) I normally film in short clips for each step as it is easier to edit in the future.

I then trim each clip to my desired length and add them together in IMovie with music.

How long have you been doing makeup?

I’ve been doing makeup for two and a half years.

What are some things you like to do outside of makeup?

Outside of makeup, I’m really into visual arts (painting, sketching, watercolour) Any creative activities have always been outlets for me.

I used to do many different martial arts but I had to stop due to injury. And lastly, I’m extremely academic so school always comes first.

What is your advice to those who are shy/afraid to wear makeup?

Makeup is something that you need to experiment with to understand it. Makeup can be a boost of confidence for you, it can be a creative outlet, or just something fun to do.

You will never know if you will like it until you try it. Remember that makeup comes off so if you make a mistake, just try again!
