Kaleidoscope First Look Photos Have Giancarlo Esposito Plotting the Ultimate Heist

Netflix will debut its new heist drama series Kaleidoscope at the start of the new year, and ahead of the premiere, a slew of first look photos have been unveiled. The images feature Giancarlo Esposito and the other members of the anthology show’s ensemble cast as they plot out a heist 25 years in the making. Each episode of the series is set at a different point in time, serving as a puzzle piece offering only part of the story until viewers make it to the end. Look for the show to arrive on Jan. 1.

The series, previously titled Jigsaw, is created by Eric Garcia. Along with Esposito, who’s well known for his roles in other shows like The Mandalorian and Better Call Saul, the series stars Rufus Sewall (The Pale Horse), Paz Vega (Rambo: Last Blood), Tati Gabrielle (You), Rosaline Elbay (Ramy), Peter Mark Kendall (The Americans), Jai Courtney (The Suicide Squad), and Niousha Noor (Here and Now).

Kaleidoscope is loosely based on the real-life story where $70 billion in bonds vanished in downtown Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy. Esposito plays Leo Pap, aka The Mastermind and the leader of the group that plots the ultimate heist showcased in the series. The character is described as “whip-smart, intense, and driven, with an engineer’s mind and a meticulous eye for detail.” The character’s group also includes the Smuggler (Kendall), the Weapons Specialist (Vega), the Explosives Expert (Elbay), the Safe Cracker (Courtney), and the Driver (Jordan Mendoza). Standing in their way as the corporate security team are the Corporate Security Titan (Sewell), the Protege (Gabrielle), the Sister (Soojeong Son), and the Henchman (Hemky Madera). Meanwhile, there are two agents on the case: the Driven Agent (Noor) and the Partner (Bubba Weiler).
