How old are you?
I’m 13 years old
What musicians do you look up to and why?
I look up to Randy Rhoads because he wrote iconic solos. I also look up to Eddie Van Halen because he changed the way people played guitar. No one played like he did before him. I also look up to Nikki Sixx because he’s been one of my idols for a long time. He sees a goal and does what it takes to reach it even when others tell him he can’t!
You’ve performed in some shows already can you explain that experience?
I typically perform at least 2-4 times a month some with school of rock, some guesting with a band and sometimes even with my own band. The performances that mean the most are always the ones I do with my own band. That means it’s OUR music, OUR choice and OUR gig. Which just means more. When I perform on stage no matter who it’s with or for or where it’s at I am in my happy place. I love to get on stage and play my music for others!
What are some of your plans for the future?
Some plans for the future are to play more shows, write and record more originals, and learn as much as I can from all the opportunities I am given.
Do you have any advice for teens in your field?
My advice to others is…. music is not a race you have to enjoy the ride. You May NEVER become famous so if you don’t enjoy the ride there’s no reason to do it. That being said… DONT GIVE UP! If you really want it…. it’s worth working for! Some days are harder than others. The music industry is small so remember to be nice to everyone because ya never know when or where you will run into them again!
