How old are you?
I am 17 years old
You began acting since you were 5 how did it all start?
In elementary school a traveling theatre company came to my school, and put together the show “Willy Wanka” where I wanna as cast as an Oompa Loompa! From that I fell in love with theatre. About 6 years later (when I was 11) one of my stage directors got me into film and television. Which I would say is now my true passion.
You model as well how is that going? Please give us some details about that.
I truly love modeling! When I was younger i participated in Fashion Shows for American Girl, which is when I learned to love the runway. Since then I have participated in Denver Fashion Week, and modeled for a company called Inspyre. Sadly because I am very petite I cannot do much runway- Maybe one day I can help start a petite models fashion show!
Your a fashion stylist how do you come up with ideas for outfits?
When I am Styling myself it all depends on my mood. I truly believe that clothes are an expression of who you are so I typically dress how I feel that day. Or sometimes when I am not feeling too confident with myself I put on a killer outfit and start to feel better. As for when I am styling others I get a sense of their personality and what they typically wear. Then mix Items that they wear frequently with something new and different. This way they don’t feel like they are switching it up too much but there is still that clear difference between putting an outfit together for yourself and being styled
What are some of your plans for the future
For the future I would actually love to become a profiler for the FBI. I hope to major in criminology, minor in Victimology and continue my American Sign Language Studies. That said i never plan on giving up acting- if I were to receive a role it would be a no brained to accept it over school. As school will always be there but the industry is constantly evolving and is unpredictable.
Do you have any advice for teens in your field?
For teens in the acting/modeling industry I would say- don’t take anything personally. Going into auditions whether it’s with a casting director or an agent is like trying different Tea’s. You aren’t going to be everyone’s favorite, and you don’t have to be, because you are someone’s only cup of tea.
