I pulled my son out of school the last 7 weeks of school. He was having sensory overloads and was spending more time with any free adult that could sit with him. He is diagnosed as SPD and is on a waiting list for testing for Autism.

I’m not making him go back to being overwhelmed and hating school. My approach for those 7 weeks and every other day is freedom to explore and ask questions, we have lots of conversations about many subjects (I’m learning just like he is).

My other son enjoyed school, mostly the social aspescts. He is 2 grades below my other son but is advanced in reading and math (compared to his classmates).

I have been spending time researching secular curriculums and I think I have found one I would like to try.
