Dua Lipa has been on quite the journey with her hair this year. First, the 24-year-old singer chopped it into a chic, ultra-blunt bob, and since then, she’s been all about experimenting with different colors. Earlier this season, she dyed her hair blonde with a hint of rose gold, and then shortly after, she took it a step further and went for an edgy two-toned look. Until now, it’s been blonde on top and a deep-brown shade underneath — but naturally, she had to go and spice it up again.
The “Be the One” singer is currently in Tokyo, Japan, and has been sharing a slew of fun snaps from the trip on Instagram. In one recent post, which features several different shots of the star with her hair up in space buns, you can clearly see that she added some pink and greenish-blue highlights to the underside of her hair. While her hair is still primarily two-toned, the addition of vibrant colors definitely adds a playful new vibe to Lipa’s aesthetic.
As for who’s the mastermind behind Lipa’s new look, she sadly didn’t reveal the person responsible for her latest dye job. That being said, colorist Nicola Clarke did her initial two-toned color, so it’s possible that the two worked together again, or that Lipa consulted her before adding even more color to the mix.
For anyone who’s looking to experiment with colorful hair but doesn’t want to dive in head-first, temporary, wash-out products are an excellent option because they slowly introduce the rainbow effect without having to bleach — or keep it in your hair for too long.
