The Weeknd to Perform at 2021 Super Bowl Halftime Show

The Weeknd has been announced as the 2021 Super Bowl Halftime Show performer. “We all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position,” the After Hours singer said in a statement. “I’m humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year.”

Last year’s halftime show, with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, was the first to co-produced by Roc Nation alongside Pepsi. Super Bowl LV will take place February 7, 2021.

The Weeknd recently joined Maluma for a new version of the latter’s “Hawái.” He also co-executive produced Oneohtrix Point Never’s latest album Magic Oneohtrix Point Never, appearing on the song “No Nightmares.”
