We got the chance to interview her, here are a few things she had to say.

How old are you?

15, But I will be 16 on Monday!

What inspired you to start dancing?

I went through a stage of bullying and this helped me to focus on myself and let out how I felt, also I always watched others and wanted to join in to build my confidence.

What is your favorite thing about dancing and why?

My favorite thing about dancing is how free it makes me feel when I can just focus on the music and the moves I am doing. I also love that it can inspire other people to do what they love to do.

What are your future plans for dancing?

I would love to open my own dance school for foster children and children who can’t afford to go. Also I would love to do dance more as I grow up.

Do you have any advice for teens in your field?

Always do what you can when you can because the best time to do something is the second you can and that something you love to do is something that frees you from the outside world and allows you to just be you.

And never let someone tell you that what you are doing is wrong or isn’t good for you because a lesson to learn is that what you chose to do makes you special.
