Watch the Dropkick Murphys “fight” with an unruly fan

“This is our house!”

During a St. Patrick’s Day show, the Dropkick Murphys were involved in an altercation with an unruly fan.

The incident, which occurred on Friday (March 15) during a holiday gig at Boston’s House of Blues, saw bassist and singer Ken Casey “fight” with a fan after a row about a microphone.

As reported on TMZ, Casey handed his microphone to a fan in the audience who then refused to return it despite repeated pleas. Casey then scuffled with the fan before blood was drawn before eventually being pulled back onto the stage amidst much confusion and chaos.

You can watch footage of the incident here:

Despite being pulled back onto the stage, Casey evaded the show’s security and leapt back into the crowd to approach the fan again. Eventually, the fan was escorted out of the venue and the band completed their set.

Speaking about the incident on stage, front Al Barr said: “So, we’ve been doing this for a number of years, and having been here for 21 of those years, this is not new.

“I haven’t seen the old man bleed, but this is not new. See, when we invite you guys to come to one of our shows, it’s like we’re saying, ‘Come to our house,’ and when someone disrespects us, it’s like you’re disrespecting us in our own house. This is our house!”

Casey has been involved in an altercation with a fan before, in 2013 at New York City’s Terminal 5.
